Focused Stretching
Deep Stretch is an accessible class that everyone needs – athletes, those who spend a lot of time sitting, first-time yoga students and everyone in between. And that also refers to men, women, teens, and everyone is welcome. Just what the name implies, we will delve into some good hip, lower back, hamstring and upper body stretches. Deep Stretch Yoga is a fantastic way to boost flexibility when tight muscles cause discomfort or constrain movement. More importantly, it also trains us to practice slowing down, paying attention and listening to our body and our mind. Great for everyone who would like to increase mobility, flexibility and relieve stiffness. Focused stretching allows muscles to relax, lengthen and reduces tension throughout the body. The class will always end with a guided breathing exercise (Pranayama) and a long Savasana (period of relaxation) which will leave you feeling blissful.

These exercises use external weight that is available to the participant as resistance for the workout. These workouts provide the opportunity for building muscle, more challenging movement and improving imbalances. Odd objects around the house are at times very useful for these exercises.
